1:13 pm - Print catalog

Does a print catalog still exist? Can I subscribe to it? I loved when I got my one in 1998, but it's been forever and a day, since I last checked/looked to see if there existed any others or if it continued on?!? Also, the items in the catalog ... will I only find them in places like eBay? As I am seeing none of them in the online store currently. There are some things in the catalog I wanted but was never able to order, and still want. Especially a journal, with art by Jewel, it has a drawing of an angel (I do believe) and a beautiful saying, "Always find a way to call out of another the higher in themselves". Is there anywhere I can find this piece/art online somewhere to order by itself? Maybe as a poster? Or art print?

Hey everyone! just an fyi, Jewel is going to be on dancing with the stars with her hubsand.

I went to see her in Lancaster on February 4h. It was amazing! I was trying to wait until I have all of my videos uploaded to make this post, but who knows when that will be. I do have a lot of the videos and pictures up here and here.

She looked and sounded amazing. The opening act cancelled and Toby Lightman performed instead, making me very happy :)

After the concert, I went to the stage for pictures of her guitars. I got an Alice in Wonderland guitar pic, her flowers, and her autograph!!! there was a lady clearing the stage, and she went back to get it for me. I think it was one of Jewel's assisstants.

I will try to make another post, if I remeber, after all of my videos and pictuers are uploaded and organized. I just went pro on flickr and my page is a mess! Also, I will post the set list.

Going back to dancing with the stars... what does everyone think of Jewel's celebrity status? I still have a hard time believing it. I'm in love with my first impression of Jewel, the POY uncomfortable in the spotlight Jewel. I know she hasn't changed that much....she's still the same person under the dresses and make-up and tv shows.....i've never seen dancing with the stars, and i'm sure she's doing it for fun not fame, but I really hate reality shows. Especially celebrity reality.

the first picture is of her "engagement ring" & it's from Jewel's official website, along with the excerpts from her blog. the last picture is one i found online. speaking of, does anyone know where to find recent photos of jewel? specifically i'm looking for ones from her tour with brad paisley, but anything new would be nice :)

So, Ty gave me a leather strap with a key on it, instead of a ring. (A diamond would have given us away) and I would wear that on my left hand. It was really fun to have our own little secret that just we knew about. I'd wear it on TV shows- like Nashville star- and folks would ask about it- and I'd just say it was the key to Ty's heart... :)
The next day (after the wedding) we ate a great dinner at Nobu and celebrated with the hotel at the club (they are so nice there that it’s fun- the club and the hotel made pulling the whole thing off possible- and they went above and beyond making it magical- so it was fun to hang with everyone and have a drink and relax and soak it all in!) I got to take pictures with lots of fans that night at the club (does anyone have a fan pic from that night?)Was anyone there that night that's online with us?)...

8:27 pm - Jewel...pregnant?

E! News was on in the background tonight while I was doing something else. Then I swear I hear Ryan Seacrest say something about Jewel being pregnant. Luckily, I have a DVR, so I rewind it, and yep, it sounds like he is saying "Jewel's pregnancy and heartbreak" is coming up, then he goes off talking about something else... I watch the entire show waiting, and nothing else is mentioned. I rewind it back to that spot again, and I SWEAR he is saying Jewel. I have googled though, and found about nothing (recent) about Jewel being pregnant other than idle gossip that the reason they eloped to the Bahamas was that she was pregnant. It almost sounds like he was cut off right before he says it, but I could still swear he is saying Jewel. My husband thought so too!

6:39 pm - I gotta say...

I know this isn't the most active community ever, but I'm shocked that no one has made a post about Jewel getting married yet!

So, yes, for anyone who missed it, Jewel & Ty got hitched!

11:11 am - New Jewel DVD!

Has anyone else seen this?

It says it's due out September of this year. It might be old news to some people who keep up to date with everything she is doing (I try, but it's hard to keep up to date with every artist you are interested in), but I had no idea!

2:24 pm - Jewel at Boarders promoting Perfectly Clear

Jewel recorded on location at Borders #01 in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Jewel Perfectly Clear
In her recent visit to Borders Live at 01, Jewel played songs old and new, shared some personal favorites, and did one mean Chet Baker impersonation. Her latest project, Perfectly Clear, indulges her country side and pays homage to idols like Linda Rondstadt, Brenda Lee, Loretta Lynn, and Joni Mitchell.

It's about 52 minutes long. There's a combination of her signing live and interviews about her album, childhood, song writing and influences. A must watch :D

Jewel played a show in Boston last week for 200 people. I guess it was for a fund raiser or something. I'm so upset I didn't know about it! :0(

7:02 pm - Perfectly Clear

'Perfectly Clear,' out June 3.

Track Listing:
1. Stronger Woman
2. I Do
3. Love Is A Garden
4. Rosey & Mick
5. Anyone But You
6. Thump Thump
7. Two Become One
8. ’Til It Feels Like Cheating
9. Everything Reminds Me Of You
10. Loved By You (Cowboy Waltz)
11. Perfectly Clear

What does everyone think? Me, I'm slightly disappointed that there are only 11 tracks instead of her usual 13 or 14. Also, what's with the recycled 'Two Become One'? I never thought it was *that* great on '0304.' I like that 'Rosey and Mick' made the cut, along with 'Cowboy Waltz.' I'm anxious to hear how she recorded them. I wasn't a huge fan of 'Stronger Woman,' but the video is beginning to convert me. I don't like how she used her baby-voice in a song with the word 'stronger' in the title. The album cover looks nice, though, and I really like the title.
